Teppie and Christina ChartomatsidisTOKYO TWINS REPORT
From sushi to the Japanese Yen, att. Reporters Teppie and Christina Chartomatsidis take you on a journey to discover more on what Tokyo has to offer.

Flashing neon lights, multitudes of busy people, vivacity, crammed trains, and bustling traffic! Tokyo is a city that never sleeps. Every Friday night, in the heart of Tokyo's center, Shinjuku, people flood the town center to wind down and celebrate the end of an arduous working week.

It cannot be denied that Tokyo is one of the world's most hectic business cities. Due to Tokyo's round the clock service and demand for efficiency, workers of all professions put in a titanic effort to keep activity in the city running smoothly.

Nevertheless for the people of Tokyo, dedication to work is equally as important as dedication to relaxation. It may be one of the world's busiest cities, but amazingly Tokyo is also one the world's best stress relieving cities! Citizens of this metropolis can choose from a plethora of avenues promising to rid the stress and pressures of everyday life.

Do you long the idea of rejuvenating your tired and weak body in a natural hot spring? Well look no further as there are traditional onsens or spas located in Tokyo and surrounding prefectures - open all year round, 24 hours a day! Many of these onsens are built within resorts that house Western-style or traditional Japanese ryokan hotels. In addition, such resorts can also provide souvenir shops, restaurants, saunas and massage services, pampering you with all the luxuries only five-star service can match! If you fancy getting out of Tokyo to the country-side for an open air mountain onsen you need not stress about time! The technologically sophisticated Shinkansen train can take you there in under an hour in comfort and style.

If you're the adventurous type why not scream your burdens away on the Thunder Dolphin, a newly built roller coaster that slices directly through a center-less ferris wheel! In April this year, "LaQua" a mammoth amusement, onsen, restaurant and shopping complex situated within one of Tokyo's major business districts began operation. Aside from LaQua however, Tokyo offers a smorgasbord of theme and amusement parks for people of all ages and tastes. Disneyland, DisneySea, Hello Kitty Sanrio Puroland, Fujikyu Highland, and Sega Joypolis are among some of the amusement parks here to electrify you!

As a leading world fashion and shopping capital, Tokyo is just the retreat when looking for that something special to spoil yourself with. Being host to hundreds of designer brand stores from all over the world, Tokyo guarantees you will find the item you've been longing to spend all your hard earned cash on.

Tokyoites take shopping very seriously and this is manifested through an inundation of department stores in every region across the city. In May, "Roppongi Hills," a mega shopping, hospitality, entertainment, and residential complex opened its doors to the public. Roppongi Hills offers over 200 brand stores and restaurants, a cinema complex, a leading world hotel, a gallery, child care facilities, offices, apartments, and is even home to a television station!

If you feel like soaking up the sights and sounds of Tokyo Harbor, catch a ride on the Yurikamome, a computer driven monorail train that takes you into Odaiba, a city built just for relaxation, shopping, and fun. Boat cruises are available where you can lay back, sip on sparkling champagne, and sail those worries away.

Contrary to what many foreign visitors may think, Tokyo is not a city dedicated only to business and hard work. In fact it is a fun loving megalopolis equipped with optimum facilities, outlets and services to relieve you of the stresses of life and most importantly put a euphoric smile on your face!
