Entered TOKYO ANNOUNCE GAKUIN Performing Arts College, Broadcasting Voice Actor Departmentin 2009

I have been a big fan of Japanese animation since I was a child. I really wanted to become a voice actor when I saw the anime VS Knight Lamune鐚40 Fire When I was in high school, I started to study Japanese and to watch Japanese anime and dramas in the Japanese language. After I studied Japanese at college in Korea for two years, I came to Japan to study. I decided to be a voice actor, so I chose TOKYO ANNOUNCE GAKUIN Performing Arts College, which has produced many famous voice actors.

Voice actors are actors who perform with their voices. At school, we learn not only voice training and recitation, but also to sing and dance so that we acquire the sense of rhythm and expression. Also, we study stage acting. Special lessons are given by professional voice actors and the curriculum is very exciting.

The students have the opportunities to audition for various professional concerns while still in school. Last year I auditioned successfully and performed in the radio program Poli Kero Kon Jaku on Radio Osaka. This show was hosted by Mr. Satoru Akahori, the author of VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire, and Ms. Yuko Mizutani, a voice actor. I was very nervous while on air, but I was very happy because I am a big fan of Mr. Satoru Akahori.

Japanese voice actors have more job opportunities than those in any other country. They can do more work as voice actors because more animations are created in Japan. Some voice actors sing animation songs. Nana Mizuki is my role model, I want to be like her, a singing voice actor in Japan. I will try hard as I believe this is something that only I can do here.

Dreaming about being a character designer

Entered TOHO GAKUEN Film Techniques Training College, Animated Image Department in 2010

I have always loved anime since I was a child. I came to Japan to study anime and to be engaged in the animation industry. During my first six months in Japan, I studied at a Japanese language school. Most friends I met there went to college or graduate school, but I entered TOHO GAKUEN Film Techniques Training College. At an open school, staff politely explained to me about the school curriculum, then I was convinced I would be able to acquire anime skills and techniques to make my dream of being an animator come true.

A work of animation is completed after going through various procedures: Direction, character design, drawing, finishing, filming, editing and cutting. All staff members work together to produce a very delicate and fine piece of work. I was able to obtain each technique in each of the animation making processes. Also I could grasp the entire scope of anime production.

As I studied many subjects, I got to know about my abilities and aptitude. Now I want to be a character designer. I am very happy when a character I drew comes to life in a film. The more I draw, the better I will become. Now, I am drawing and drawing to improve my skills.
